Summertime is so close you can almost taste it, which means having people over, grilling up some grub, and hanging out on the porch. Why not entertain your guests with some healthy, delectable veggie dips? Here are a few recipes you should try!
Savory Veggie Dips.
There’s nothing quite as nice as a savory veggie dip when you’re really hungry. To make a particularly good one, get 12 ounces of sour cream, three-quarters of a cup of mayo, one tablespoon of dried minced onion, one teaspoon of garlic salt, one teaspoon of dill weed, one teaspoon of dried parsley flakes, and just a little bit of Worcestershire sauce. Mix them all up in a serving bowl, and cover it. Let it set in the refrigerator for about an hour, and serve.
Greek yogurt dips are all the rage now, and this avocado-yogurt dip will sure be one of the best veggie dips you’ll make all summer. Just take three-quarters of a cup of plan, fat-free Greek yogurt, half a cup of diced red onion, three tablespoons of freshly chopped cilantro, one tablespoon of finely chopped jalapeno, two tablespoons of fresh lime juice, one tablespoon of cumin, half a teaspoon of salt, three, ripe, peeled avocados, and a minced clove of garlic, and stick it all in a food processor. Blend it all until it’s smooth, and you’ll have one of the tastiest veggie dips of all time.
Medley Veggie Dips.
Many people think that the more veggies they put in their veggie dips, the better they’ll be, and more people are not wrong. To make a lovely medley dip, get two cups of baby arugula, a stalk of celery cut in thirds, a carrot cut in thirds, four scallions cut in thirds, a small garlic clove, a tablespoon of chopped tarragon, one cup of sour cream, half of a cup of mayo, four ounces of cream cheese, two cups of crushed veggie chips, and some kosher salt. Stick the arugula, celery, carrot, scallions, garlic and tarragon in a food processor, and blend it for a little bit so it’s roughly chopped up. Throw in the mayo, cream cheese, and sour cream, and continue blending. Throw in the crushed chips, and season it with the salt. Put it all in a bowl and refrigerate it for half an hour. Then, serve it!
These veggie dips will surely satiate your friends this summer, but just don’t them too often. Otherwise, your friends will expect awesome veggie dips every time they come over, and no one wants to share that much awesomeness that often.
